Jay Stone – Evenings/Weekends
Jay is an Alberta guy, through and through. Born in Edmonton at the Royal Alex, and grew up and down the QE2 between Airdrie and the City of Champions. After spending the past 16 years all across Canada, Jay is excited to be back home!
In the non-frozen months, you’ll usually find Jay outside with his girlfriend Sara; running, hiking, or biking all the river valley trails… there’s nothing better than fresh air in the summer!
In the frozen months, you’ll usually find Jay in Mexico, or dreaming of Mexico while playing for a rec league hockey team. Go Narwhals! Jay has also been an avid snowboarder since age 12. What Jay loves most in life is being a Dad to his two daughters, Kaydence and Destany.
Other things you may not know about me; I have my Solo Skydiving Licence and have jumped out of an airplane 30 times. Only once did I have to use my emergency parachute…true story. Saying that, there’s no cooler experience in the world than freefall, and I always say everyone should feel that at least once in their lifetime! I have also served in the Canadian military, I spent 5.5 years in the Air Force as an Avionics Systems Technician before getting in to the radio business. I salute all those who serve at CFB Edmonton, and all across the world!
